How do we know its worth it?
We can’t always make the changes happen that people would like to see. However, we can make sure there is always something in taking part.
- Agency. Groups are driven by the people in them. They decide what the group should be doing. Individually, people can take part in ways that suit them. From answering a survey as a one-off to attending monthly meetings, there is a wide spectrum of involvement.
- Sense of belonging. Building relationships and connecting with others is a key part of Reboot. Exploring local issues together fosters community.
- Gaining skills and confidence. Reboot is all about learning. Learning about systems change, the systems we all use and work in and each other. The wide range of techniques used to do this gives people an opportunity to gain new skills and develop confidence.
